You've got to be kidding. PMMA is Acrylic. To use this, you will have to use a plasticizer and that is typically an oil embedded in the plastic. PMMA stands for Polymethylmethacrylate and is used in many applications where stiffness is regulated by the amount of plasticizer put into it. If you polymerize this chemical in a cross-linked fashion, they use a highly oxidative catalyst to initiate the reaction. Some of this oxidative chemical is left in the plastic and it is highly toxic to the body. If they just use the straight PMMA material, it is thought to be inert, however, when put in the body, it acts like an interference field that can reflex to many organs in the body and create a weakness allowing infections and disease to happen.
