Question: What is the biggest size that sunglasses can be prescription?

I want to get aviator sunglasses and was wondering if the lenses are too big to be prescription. Any thoughts/ ideas?

Bigger diameter means thicker glass. that is the only factor. the aviator frame wire will hold the thicker perscription glass but it will be noticable from profile

Even if you have a big prescription, all is not lost. You can get thinner lenses, also known as "Hilite " lenses. There's a new company online called Replacement Lens Express and it looks like they charge $12 for tint to be added to lenses and $30 to make them thinner. All you do is send in your prescription and your frames and they replace the old lenses with the new prescription.
